The Hubbard Glacier and Gilbert Point is an interesting place. The geology here is incredible, the landscape so dynamic.

The glacier advances and pinches off the Russell Fjord (up to the right in this picture) at Gilbert Point. Over time the build up of water behind the ice dam becomes so great it eventually forces its way through, pushing the glacier out of the way. The world’s biggest Joukaloupe!
