Beaver will eat a variety of trees and brush, but willow are among their favorite. This beaver had just returned from a foraging session with a pile of willow saplings, and quickly stripped all the leaves from the branch, then the bark and buried the remaining wood beneath the surface of the water. I’m sure come the spring there was nothing left at all.
